Today we have a our lovely blog team member, Melissa Newell of My Party Passion sharing a wonderful holiday party she recently threw for some of her girl friends.
We know you will enjoy! ~ Dawn and Pamela
Holiday greetings from New York. Where we are getting ready for a big storm coming our way this weekend. I say Bring it On! Our family loves snow and embraces it all for what it is.
On to why I am here today! Sharing a quaint party I hosted for some of my church gals. It was a simple yet heartwarming gathering of 5 of my friends that “work with me” at church on youth programs.
I used printables from D & P Celebrations which worked perfectly! Using a palette of red, green and white – your traditional Christmas Colors – I transformed our family room bar for the party into a whimsical Nutcracker themed table.
I already had a few Nutcrackers that worked well with the printables. Notice how perfect my stem less wine glasses match the Cheers sign from D & P Celebrations!
Simple Light Menu: Veggie Tray with humus, pumpkin bread, cookies, raspberry & chocolate cups, stuffed mushrooms and a light and crisp white wine sangria.
It was nice to sit in front of the fire and just chat about everything from Santa to our family holiday traditions. The best moment is when our youngest daughter came down to say hi to the ladies and decided to perform a song. Heartwarming to say the least (of course no picture of that).
Of course, I had to have a little something for them to take home. Using these chevron boxes from D & P Celebrations was the perfect choice.
I made homemade chocolate fudge to put inside and decorated them with some of the printables. Attaching them with a close pin that I decorated with Washi tape (would not be a party without Washi somewhere!) and put a magnet on the back. The girls LOVED them!
It was a pleasure to open our home up and share some Cocktails and Cheer with these women of God. I pray your holidays are about friends, love, family and great memories. Until next time – Party On Friends!
