My family is completely into the woodland animals trend right now, foxes, owls (we mostly love owls), birds etc. So with my kids home for a Fall break we decided this year we would make our own ornaments and decorate our Christmas tree with a woodland theme.
I designed a pattern that would be easy enough for the kids to put together, although I ended up cutting most of the pieces. We used regular craft glue to adhere everything and to sandwich a piece of ribbon in between the main head pieces. I purchased a set of 140 black and white brads in two sizes by Recollections to use for the eyes. The small ones poked right through the felt, but the larger brads we had to cut a tiny hole to get them into place. Let the finished ornaments set over night to dry and voila!!

These would be great little embellishments for packages too!
