Most of you ladies have heard about or even been to a "slumber party" and I recently hosted one! So, being all crafty and such, I could not have nothing decorated or set up for this little party! With that in mind, I decided to go with some fun bachelorette paper as the focal point of my decor. This paper is so fun, lots of bright lips on black background, perfect!!!
For the past few months, I have wanted to use a popcorn bar at a party and this was the perfect place to try it out! I took my beautiful new trifle dish (thanks Pam!) and filled it with popped popcorn and had some different mix-ins for the ladies to choose from. So, the popcorn bar would not be complete without our cute little popcorn boxes, right??? My favorite combo is Junior Mints with popcorn, and Peanut M&M's are a close second, so those made it to my list of mix-ins and I needed one more thing which I decided to do gummy bears.
I also had some fresh homemade salsa and chips out along with an "ugly" apple cake. That is not the real name, but since it turned out looking so bad, I just had to call it an ugly cake! For the drink, I mean we had to have some alcohol to spice up the party a bit more, I found a spiced apple cider punch from Sandra Lee. It was super easy to make and everyone really enjoyed the flavor as well. Since there was a punch, there had to be straws and what are straws without straw flags? Boring straws!!! We could not have boring straws, so I added the little straw flags and displayed them in an extra popcorn box!
We had a great evening of fun and lots of laughs, and I just adore the decorations I had to go with it all! These decorations would also work great for a bachelorette party, hmmmm, do I know anyone getting married soon?? ;)
