How to Remove Bottle Labels {Tip Thursday}

I have to give props to my hubby, as he is the one who told me about trying this little trick, and it actually works! ;)

When I was prepping for the Ice Cream Social last month, I needed to take off the stickers from the chocolate and caramel bottles as well as the maraschino cherries jar so that I could cover them with my pretty labels!  I decided to try it the normal way with just peeling off the labels, but that was just not working very well.  Then the hubby told me to try WD-40 on a paper towel, and it worked great!

I started by pulling off as much of the old label as I could and then using the WD-40 to release the glue on the plastic bottles and the jar.  Once I got it as far as I could, I put the containers in hot soapy water to get the last little bit off and clean the containers of any WD-40 residue then rinsed.  Once I used the magic trick, it only took about 20 minutes to finish all 3 items!!!!  What a great little tip,  I just had to share it with all of you!
